Hello! I've been trying to get DQVIII to work but to no avail. My FPS is super low (15-25) even though I'm running the game on native. I could run Kingdom Hearts without any problems at all, smoothly at 60 FPS at all times, so I don't see any reason for the extremely low FPS with DQVIII. My specs: Geforce 640m LE, Intel Core i7 3630QM, 8 GB RAM, Windows 8. Is it reasonable that the game is running this poorly considering that I could play KH without any problems at all?
if you read in their forums, it says it has poor fps gameplay. its an emulation issue not a hardware one. might be fixed in a later build so have to wait till then sorry to say.
DQ VIII is a VERY hard game to emulate at a constant 60fps even on the best systems, whereas Kingdom Hearts can be played on a Dual Core with no Graphics Card @ 60 fps. Some things you could do to get some speed *Close all other programs when running pcsx2. *Change power plan to High Performance. *And Most important of all Config > Video > Render > Direct3D11 Hardware. Select Geforce 640M, not Intel HD Graphics 4000. Config >Emulation Settings > Speed Hacks > [Try playing with Sliders at 1 or 2] More Tips HERE
