Any solutions for M3 DS Real users?

I've successfully patched the ROM (at least the DOS prompt said I did), and updated the firmware, but still getting a black screen
Try with my EDGE tutorial, may be works because cheat database is same

xlaw, you didn't specify where to move the .nds file after renaming it. Additionally I received that message after it said Patching... and it said Done... after the message. I tried to run the game but it still hangs on th save selection screen. (I'm using Acekard 2)

Put in same place with xpa-ml3.bat, xdelta.exe, xpa-ml3.crack

Getting really frustrated with my inability to figure this out...

A bunch of people have posted now about getting this to work on edge v1.5, which I have.

It involves using action replay codes, but I can't figure out how to make them work.

All the tutorials I've read simply state that you drag and drop cheat.dat to the root of your memory card. Well, that doesn't work for me. Then I read somewhere that the name of the folder the cheat.dat was in mattered. So I created a _system_ folder and dragged the cheat.dat into that. Still nothing. So far, all the tutorials have been pretty vague as to what to actually need to "do".

Any help would be appreciated, its probably something very simple that I'm just overlooking.

Fevered-Dreams,

Take a look through the Edge user manual:
http://www.edge-ds.cn/downloads/edge-manual-1.0-ENG.pdf

You have to enable cheats in the system menu first, then you will be prompted when you start the game.

With cheat.dat in its own folder or on the root, and cheat enabled in the main menu setting on my card it still doesn't prompt me for any game I try to load. Unfortunately, that was one of the first things I thought of.

Does the way I have the files setup in my card matter? Also, exactly what files do I need to have on the card. Just the .dat file or do I need the contents of r4cce.086 somewhere in there too?

According to the help file on cheats.gbatemp.net
Put the EDGEcheats.dat into the Edge Folder.

Incidentally, I went to edge's download page and it has a link for r4cce that is compatible with edge. However, the link leads to a 'file not found' page. If anyone has an alternate link to this that might work, unless its the same one I downloaded here.

You can download R4CCE here:
http://home.usay.jp/pc/soft_en.html

Or you can follow the link in the Edge portion of the tutorial on the first post :)

Thats what you get for day drinking, though, I suppose.

So if we have a R4 we will have to wait for a fix to come out?

Yes, currently there is no proven method of playing this game on the R4.  Waiting is all you can do.  Short of buying the game, (or a new flashcard).

I too have an acekard too and use moonshell and _ak2 folder??.  I don't want my other games to become unplayable, but Mario works fine until I save.  I've tried a couple of different ways and it freezes up.  When I go back into the game, it shows the saved file, but freezes if I try to load.  Please detail what I need to do.  Thank you

Just testing out that SuperCard DS-One fix now to see if it helps me with my saving issue I've got currently with the other fix I was using. Problem was I'd play, it would save, and I could re-load fine. But all of the sudden after a day or so I'd go to re-load it and my save file will have reverted back to a much earlier point in the game, despite having loaded from a later point earlier on.

Will update you all on whether this still happens or not.

It's been posted (or similar) countless times. Basically if you do not see a fix for your card yet, sit tight and wait until one is released. At the moment that is all you can do. The error you're facing is the first piracy check out of about 30 something that the game has, so you're not the first and certainly not the last who will face it. Just sit tight mate.

Am using R4i (for Nintendo DSi)... I'm dying to play this game (Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story USA).. I guess we all R4 users have to be patient and wait for some kind soul who have the technical knowledge in patching the said game and come up with a cracked version of this game.. In view of this, I'm appealing to whoever can patch this game in R4 to upload the rom with the note that it's a patch R4 version in the rom section of Romulation so we can distinguish it immediately... My gratitude for whoever can come up with it... Thanks a lot in advance!  ;D

For anyone who is interested in getting this to work with Itouchds, if you go to www.simplepluseasy.com and download the new firmware (version 3.3B) it comes with a fix that makes the game playable. I have tested it and it works fine, but apparently there are some freezing issues if you save and quit and then try to reload the game. This is being looked at but if you want to play, its only a minor issue that really causes next to no problems.

I can't get my rom to work on the acekard2i, I believe I patched it right but it doesn't allow me to move it into my SD card. It says "invalid MS-DOS function"

I assuming something must be wrong with my acekard but i was able to add scribblenauts to it and everything seemed to be the same from what is posted in those 3 steps.

Trying running the unpatched game on desmume 0.9.4. It's a pretty good emulator, I'm well past the Bowser vs Midbus fight and this way I save myself from joining the ranks of the R4 whiners because that happens to be my flashcard of choice as well.

Only problem I've had is slightly funny sounds occasionally from running at 91-95%, and of course having to fish out my gamepad because I find using the keyboard for emulators is a pain in the ass :)

Easiest option is to buy/use a cyclods, use the cheat code link (posted a few days ago, can't remember who!) use latest firmware v1.55? and either put up with game crashing following save points or easier use RTS, the latter is best option but both work.
