What is Pokemon RocketRed all about?

Pokemon RocketRed is a hack of Pokemon FireRed. Pokemon RocketRed will allow you to play in the Kanto region as a Team Rocket Grunt working for Giovanni. What's different about this Team Rocket hack compared to other Team Rocket hacks is this will be more original and that it still gives you the same options and realism that you would get in a real Pokemon game.

Pokemon RocketRed is based 4 years after the events of Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen. Team Rocket have taken over Pallet Town and most of Kanto. Your job is to continue the Team Rock invasion in Kanto. It's not going to be easy, you'll be up against people like Red (Ash), Green (Gary), May, Brendan and many more good guys!

As I continue the hack, I will add more and more story information. I hope everyone enjoys the hack.

This is for GBA.

Though you can play this on a DS, PSP, PC or anything that uses a GBA Emulator. I personally play this with my DS via EZ Flash V 3 in 1.

I've used a wide range of programs such as:

- Paint
- Photoshop
- Advance Map
- Advance Text
- PokeScript
- unLZ.gba
- Tile Molester
- Overworld Editor

There are more, but these are the few that are most important to me atm. Hacking Pokemon games isn't that hard once you get the hang of it. I personally have more fun atm making Pokemon games then playing them LOL That will of course change after the release of SoulSilver.

It's also good to check out some Pokemon hacking sites for some tutorials of how to get started.

Pokemon FireRed is a GBA game, so you can't play it on your M3 DS Real, unless you have a slot 2 cart such as the EZ Flash 3 in 1.

Yes, you can play it on a PSP. Just make sure you're using gpsp.

I am aware. I have been told a number of times elsewhere.

The reason it is called RocketRed, is because it is a hack of FireRed. Unless you can come up with a better name that is worth me changing everything I've done so far, I think it should stay how it is.

 

Maybe RocketBlack or BlackRocket? I don't know if you could change the Charizard on the start, but, choose a Pokemon that Team Rocket uses?

 

I will eventually change the Charizard sprite. But I thought it would be more important to get some of the actual game done first.

BlackRocket and RocketBlack just don't have that Pokemon feel to it. RocketRed sounds like something that would sound realistic if there was a Team Rocket game.
