The second season of the K-ON! anime franchise was announced after the �Let�s Go!� live concert in Yokohama on Wednesday. When the concert�s two encores ended, the large onstage screen displayed footage from the first season of the television anime series. Then the screen displayed an announcement that the second season has been green-lit.
The anime�s official website has also confirmed that production on the second season has been green-lit. The anime adapted kakifly�s four-panel comedy manga about a budding high school band.

The Gundam Unicorn anime adapts Harutoshi Fukui's 10 novel volumes of the same name, which are set in the same Universal Century (UC) timeline as Yoshiyuki Tomino and Sunrise's first Mobile Suit Gundam science-fiction television anime series and its sequels. after read the summary and watched the trailer, it seems the story is pretty interesting, and the cute graphics, i guess it'll be worth to watch haha
Plot & Summary: The story centers around Akihisa Yoshii, the "baka" of the title. His academy rigidly divides up the student body into classes based on the results of tests. The prodigies are in the A class with reclining seats complete with air conditioning, but Akihisa is in F class, the lowest rung of the school ladder which is furnished only with low, decrepit tables and worn-out straw tatami mats.
A smart girl named Mizuki Himeji had a fever on test day and was pigeonholed into the F class. Besides Mizuki, the F class also has Y?ji Sakamoto, the class president who has been Akihisa's partner-in-crime since the freshman year. The school happens to have developed experiments to summon fantasy creatures, and Akihisa decides to rally F class to take on the higher-tiered classes and seize their perks. The F class uses the summoned creatures in an all-out battle for school supremacy.

The official website for the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works film began streaming a new trailer on Friday. The all-new animated production will cover the Unlimited Blade Works storyline from Type-Moon's game franchise. The film will open in Tokyo's Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro and at least 11 other theaters throughout Japan on January 23.
Director Yuji Yamaguchi, series script supervisor Takuya Sato, character designer and chief animation director Megumi Ishihara, and Studio DEEN are returning from the Fate/stay night television series. Voice cast members Noriaki Sugiyama, Ayako Kawasumi, Kana Ueda, Noriko Shitaya, Mai Kadowaki, Miki Itou, Junichi Suwabe, Yuu Asakawa, and Jouji Nakata will also reprise their respective roles. The CD single of Sachi Tainaka's re-recorded "disillusion -2010-" opening theme song from the television series has been delayed two days to January 22.
Last September, Funimation released a Fate/stay night anime series box as one of its first anime DVDs from its distribution deal with Geneon Entertainment. Geneon Entertainment had ceased in-house distribution of its own titles in 2007. Tokyopop has been publishing Datto Nishiwaki's manga version in North America since last October.

Production materials for the anime adaptation of NisiOisin's Katanagatari novel have been posted online � three weeks before the anime's January 25 television premiere. The posted materials include animation footage, two songs in various formats, scripts for 12 episodes, character designs, and storyboards. One site hosting a link to the materials alleges that they were leaked from the FTP (file transfer protocol) site of WHITE FOX, the studio producing the anime.

Kimi ni Todoke Manga Gets Live-Action Film Green-Lit

The February issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine is announcing next Wednesday that a live-action film adaptation of Karuho Shiina's Kimi ni Todoke manga has been green-lit. More details will be provided in future issue of Bessatsu Margaret, although the next issue does include a message from Shiina regarding the news.
This high school slice-of-life series has been running in Bessatsu Margaret since 2005, and the 10th compiled book volume is shipping in Japan this month. The story follows the coming-of-age story of Sawako Kuronuma, a high school girl whose long black hair and pallid skin leads the other kids to call her Sadako (after the ghost character in The Ring horror stories). She eventually changes her life with a little help from the popular boy Kazehaya and her other classmates.
Viz Media is publishing the third volume in North America this month. The manga has already been adapted into a television anime series that premiered in October. The manga was nominated for the first ever Manga Taisho Awards in 2008, and it won the Best Sh?jo Manga award in the 32nd Annual Kodansha Manga Awards that same year.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (movie) 2010

The Barks music news website reports that the musical group UVERworld will perform the theme song for the "Fall 2010 film version of Mobile Suit Gundam 00." However, the production studio Sunrise itself and the anime producers have not officially announced the release date for the theatrical spinoff to the television anime series, beyond a "2010" timeframe.

Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth

The official website for the 2004 television anime series Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor has confirmed that a new anime has been green-lit for the previously announced Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth follow-up project. Fafner character designer Hisashi Hirai is returning to work on the new anime along with the animators at Xebec. Tow Ubukata is credited with the scriptwriting.
The official website for the Starchild musical group Angela had already announced last month that the group will perform the theme song for this project.
Geneon released the original 2004 Fafner anime series in North America in 2005. Digital Manga Publishing released the novel version of Fafner in 2008.

The series will launch in Japan on March 25 with Nana Mizuki singing the opening theme song "Tenk? no Canaria."
The ufotable anime studio produced the earlier Sylvarant Arc video series in 2007 and is producing the new series with returning director Haruo Sotozaki and series script supervisor Ryunosuke Kingetsu. Akira Matsushima is once again adapting Kosuke Fujishima's designs for anime. The two anime series adapt the story from Bandai Namco Games' Tales of Symphonia fantasy role-playing games, but focus on two different parallel worlds.

After receiving the game card, a player can scan the card at the game machines to gain and arrange items to customize the character on the card. With the user's prompting on the machine's touch screen, the character can then perform magic, songs, dances, and other activities. The story centers on Ringo Yukimori, Reira Takashiro, and Natsuki Sasahara � three elementary school girls who can change into idol princesses.
The manga creator Mai Jinna (Hoshi Made Gofun!, Otome Road) designed the characters on the cards. She also launched the Lilpri manga in the February 2009 issue of Pucchigumi and in the April 2009 issue of Shogakukan's Sh?gaku Ichinensei magazine. The franchise's official website is streaming a 15-second television commercial for the game.

Kuroshitsuji Stage Musical
The second stage musical based on Yana Toboso's Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) manga has been green-lit, and the official website posted videos of the two main cast members on Monday. Y?ya Matsushita will reprise his role of the impeccably talented butler Sebastian Michaelis, while Yukito Nishii will play Sebastian's 12-year-old master, Ciel Phantomhive. Musical Kuroshitsuji: The Most Beautiful DEATH in The World - Sen no Tamashii to Ochita Shinigami will open in Japan in May. Yen Press is publishing the first manga volume this month.

The publisher Enterbrain has begun streaming the full 110-second trailer for Shunsuke Tada and Production I.G's anime film adaptation of Mizuki Nomura's "Bungaku Shoujo" ("A literary girl") light novel on Saturday. The same trailer is also streaming on the anime's official website. The film will open in Japan on May 1.
The "mysterious school comedy" centers on the unusual members of a high school literary club. T?ko Amano, a high school senior who calls herself the "literary girl" as the club president, is actually a supernatural creature (y?kai) that devours stories � she tears pages from books to munch on them. Her club subordinate is Konoha Inoue, a second-year high school boy who writes stories every day for Amano to eat. He once wrote an award-winning novel, but he wrote it under the penname Miu Inoue so readers thought the author was a mysterious but beautiful 14-year-old girl. The stress from the novel's fame and its movie and television drama plans turned Inoue in an introverted recluse.

Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani

The Amazon online retailer is streaming 95 seconds of new footage from the Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani Flash anime adaptation of Manta Aisora and Koin's Haiyore! Nyaruko-san "high-tension, chaotic comedy" light novels. DLE, the studio behind the Eagle Talon Flash anime series, is producing Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani. Azuma Tani is not only directing the anime project, but also DLE's Licca-chan to Mah? no Kuni Flash anime. The anime will ship in a special box with the fourth light novel volume on March 17.

The story centers around Nyarlathotep, a formless Cthulhu deity who can take on the shape of anyone it wishes, but particularly the shape of a seemingly ordinary silver-haired girl. Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school student who is chased by aliens one night, until "Nyaruko" saves him.

Kuroshitsuji 2 a.k.a. Monoshitsuji

ooohhh shhhiiittttt i'm sorry guys but there'll be no Ciel and Sebas's awesomeness anymore on the anime! they will be replaced with 2 guys that i don't know (well they're pretty cool but...) and this is a pure disappointment! Ciel and Sebas are the reason why i keep watching the anime (well the story too)
the 2 main characters will be a new butler named �Claude Faustus�, who will be voiced by Takahiro Sakurai; and his master from the �Trancy� family, voiced by Nana Mizuki. They said release will probably be on Summer of 2010 (around July).

Highschool of the Dead

The listing for the March issue of Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age magazine on the Seven Net Shopping website states that an anime adaptation of Daisuke Sat? and Shoji Sato's Highschool of the Dead manga has been green-lit. The listing also says that the manga will resume in the same issue after a break of more than a year, and it will also adorn the cover. The March issue will ship on February 9.
The story follows a group of students and a school nurse who try to survive a worldwide plague that has turned people into the living dead.

Rio

The Japanese game maker Tecmo has reportedly announced at its "Rio Super Carnival" events on Sunday that Rio, a character who stars in several pachi-slo (pachinko parlor-style slot machine) games, will be adapted into a television anime tentatively titled Rio. The following voice actresses from last year's revamp of the character franchise appeared at the special Valentine's Day events:

Asada had revealed last month that the second season is slated to launch this fall, and the 25th and final episode of the first season just aired on Saturday. The original manga follows a boy who runs deliveries as a "Letter Bee" messenger throughout a strange fantasy land. The Crunchyroll website has been simulcasting the first season since it premiered in October, and Viz Media is publishing the original manga.

Sunrise has announced a new anime project for Code Geass with the title Code Geass GAIDEN: Boukoku no Akito or Code Geass Side Story: Akito of the Ruined Nation. The project was announced in the trailer of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Kiseki no Birthday stage event blue ray disc.
According to ANN, the story is set at the European war front where a unit is sent into a military operation with 5% survival.

yeah it's a joint project between Microsoft and some major producing companies
as of now 2 episodes are out, watched the first episode, it's not that bad, but you know... I dont Spartans fit in the anime world, but it's still a good watch
