when DS ONE i card with a MicroSD card is in my son's DSi, I get an error message on a black screen: "an error has occured. Press and Hold the power button to turn system off.....
It happens in all the scenarios: 1.When only the card is in the slot (formatted and wiped clean), 2. When the OS is reinstalled on the card, but no games
    3. When OS and games are on the card.
The dsi used to work fine . After this happened I reformatted the card and reloaded the original OS on it (not the newest version but rather the v1.0 that I have saved a few months ago on my computer).
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

Does it work after you reloaded the original OS?

What firmware is your DSi on? Has your DSOnei been upgraded to support 1.4 or 1.4.1 dsi firmware?

I have tried all OS versions from the DSOONE site with the current firmware version they offer right now v1.4.

I have also tried the older firmware version v1.1.

Something I cannot figure out is that many of the tutorials I find on the net indicate that after the OS is extracted you get an _en folder which contains the scshell folder and a file named MSFORSC.NDS. None of the OS packages I downloaded contain these items. Rather they contain a _dsone folder and readme and SCFW.SC files. No matter what combo I use I get the same message as indicated above.

Now when I insert an actual game card it works fine but the SuperCard does not.

What firmware is your DSi on though? It sounds to me like your Supercard DSOne is not upgraded to be 1.4+ compatible and your DSi is at 1.4 or higher. All it takes to upgrade your DSi firmware is connecting to the Nintendo Shop. So it's something that can easily happen without you thinking about it.

The DSi firmware is 1.4.1U. The games on the DSOne card used to work fine but maybe you have something when you say the firmware has been upgraded without our knowledge.
    What do you suggest?

You have to update your DSOnei Firmware using the flasher kit.
    http://forum.supercard.sc/thread-7102-1-1.html

You can't do it on your DSi since the DSi cannot use your DSOnei anymore. Udating your DSonei will let it work again.

OK I've reinstalled the new firmware on the card, which OS do you recommend?

The latest OS available for the DSOnei is the best option. Which I believe is this one:

Thanks, looks like it worked. Oddly enough I still can't find the 1.4.1 firmware version on the Super Card site without using that link you sent.

    Go to their main site:
    http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dsone/evolution/

Then click on the "Unlimited Upgrade" tab.
    http://eng.supercard.sc/manual/dsone/evolution/znsj.htm

Then it's the Firmware 1.41 link on the bottom.
