    obligatory ESAers:

    https://www.romulation.org/Retro/Nintendo_Virtual_Boy/Red_Alarm_%28U%29_%5B!%5D.rar.html/
...you know what? for VB it'd be easier to list the NON-infringers.

    not infringers:

    anything with (PD) tag, obviously
    Insane Mouse Mansion
    Waterworld
...I think everything else VB is nintendy's or somebody's.

    However much this hurts me...

Whatever it takes in order to get this all over with...I just want to be able to download some fun games. Legend of Dragoon, owned by SOny I believe, is at the top of the list. It is a great game and Sony should allow people to play it. Not like they are making a sequel to it, or preuel to that matter. I hope this issue with the games gets resolved soon enough.

Seph, what if you look for the games which are free to download? Would that not be done faster?

    English Translation:

How come RomUlation is often temporarily offline recently? Can we still download stuff from here?

On your first question, temporary offline? When? I've never had that one before recently. Oh wait.... do you mean this message that appears when you click the download button of a specific game you wish to download?

Well, it's as what the message is clearly saying, the admins temporarily had to disable the downloads so they can remove ESA protected games off of the download servers.

As for your second question. We can't clearly say at the moment, maybe RomUlation would still offer downloads, or maybe not. Until seph & loony give their final decision in the following days after all this mess has been sorted out we can only hope for the best.

If however you are looking for downloads, try the forums' "Share section" & browse through member uploaded download links.

I went back on-topic with the WHYYYYYYY (did you take our roms) thing. so that doesn't necessarily hijack it if you put an "on-topic:" message

omfg so glad i got Klonoa Empire of Dreams last week i loved that game when i had it on my GBA and i had lost it and it would've been out of reach completely with this greedy commy bullcrap ESA's tryin to pull!
Golder Sun as well both are amazing worthwhile games

Edit: came on to Romulation to find another gba game to try (need something new for on the go gaming) and sadly i find that Bandai (they're listed in the ESA members) handled Samurai Deeper Kyo so this one gets added to a list that's already too long and painfull

I've now gone through all of these and blocked them. Was a ton of games and I'm sad to see them go, alas, this just means we have to work faster on moving away from ROM downloads.

Well, if there's a staying away from downloads, what are you gonna do with the download servers anyway?

perhaps use them for more main features to the site, and give filesharing (MU, RS) links on the pages for ROMs? can they get ya if you post links from another server on the actual site?

A LOT of NES ROMs are copyrighted and have yet to be removed. When I'm not doing so much damn schoolwork I'll make a big ol' list.

It seems like we can download ROMs again. Even though a lot of great games are not downloadable anymore, I'm just glad that the restriction is now lifted and we can go back to checking out other awesome ROMs.

Yes. They get more traffic and can see where it comes from.

that's why the links wouldn't be direct. you'd do it in a code style so the people would just copy and paste.

    example:

    Code:
    copyandpastethistextintohttpbarforrom
