Hello. As the title stated,is it still a good time to buy them? I'm not sure when is the next generation of Xbox coming out but I sure don't want it to come out a year after I buy a 360.

Oh and please,oh please, don't recommend me to buy a ps3 instead.

Yeah, it's a good time. The next xbox wont be here for a long time, and there are loads of great games already released and coming up for the xbox. At this time the price is pretty good aswell :)

oh thanks. Im fully aware there are great games for the 360 out there and thats why I want to buy it in the first place.

It's just that when I bought my ds, 3ds was announced only months after that and that ticked me off =/

A fanboy's opinion is meaningless and unhelpful. Go back to your cave and give up your ass to sony you slut.

    Ooh, busted!
You can't compare them(consoles) to each other, it'd be like trying to compare a freshly made sammich to a desk-lamp. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure that desk-lamp is delicious in it's own right, but I'm kind of leaning towards that sammich right now.

Personally, I think you need to way the facts.

As I did when buying a PS3 I thought about a few things like

    1.What games do I want?

Being a go shoot em up type person, I leaned toward the 360 on this.

    2.Is multiplayer free?

now here's the main reason I got a PS3, I don't want to spend 20 dollars for 3 months of multiplayer.
I've managed with some shoot em ups on the PS3 such as Battlefield 1943, Mag and others, but I'd rather have some games on the xbox for the PS3 such as Left 4 dead.

    3.Cost and other things

now I know the PS3 costs alot more than the Xbox, but you save money in the end by not paying for multiplayer, right now I cashed in on the welcome back program and got some free games.

After consideration I got a PS3 and am perfectly happy with it.

I'm a die-hard SONY fan, but when it comes to 360 vs. PS3, I go 360. It has Halo and Lost Odyssey...and of course, DBZ Raging Blast 2.

halo is on PC as well, and the first one wasn't all that impressive.

Halo 1 and 2 are indeed on the PC, but not 3, ODST or Reach.
