Assuming that you are referring to modern (intel based) macs, then they're just massively overpriced, non-upgradable PCs with an OS designed for toddlers and a very limited selection of compatible software. PowerPC based macs were nowhere near as versatile as PCs, but the few things they could do, they did very, very well, in most cases better than PCs. As this was due to the processor architecture, it is not true of intel based macs. As a result, a windows PC is superior in every way to an intel based mac.
I love Mac. I have the new Macbook Pro and have loved every second of it. Still use my PC for RomUlation work though.
In my humble opininion pc wil always be my choice due to the amount of freedom that you have in doing probably about anything you want wheneveryou want with i.e want to install any software PC go right ahead,etc and the vast array of software for It. Mac computers look very cool though a tad bit too expensive tried one once and I was meh, fcuk this and have never bothered to use it ever.
Pretty much for the reasons loony gave. Also because Windows has to work with so many more different hardware types and configurations which makes it pretty impressive software. I do also love Linux, but that's not on your list! :'(
Just updating: I suggest PC if you are a gamer/developer. Most software and games are made for Windows. Though, if you just need a computer for work and maybe some internet games, go the Mac. My honest opinion.
What? Why? Surely if you were only using a computer for work/internet, you'd get a netbook and save a few hundred dollars/euro?
yeah if its only for work and internet then a cheap PC will do the job. macs are way overpriced for basic users, and way underspecced for high end use (and still overpriced)
Macs are for people who like to brag about how much money they have. I do love the iPod touch though. As for tablets, Android tablets are cheaper and better.
Windows is for people who are too poor to buy from the superior brand. Windows is also stupid because they're dull and name their boring OSs after random letters and numbers whereas Apple OSs are better because they are named after large cat.
