I'm interested in buying a new flash cart for my DS Lite to replace my R4. I have narrowed my options to Acekard 2i or CycloDS. Can any one give me suggestions as to which one I should get and where to buy them in Canada? Help would be much appreciated. Also, will it be Ok if I use the same microsd card that came with my R4 on the new flash cart? On a side note, if I do get Acekard 2i, does anyone know how to update it to AKAIO Firmware 1.6RC1?
CycloDS is currently better. It's had the AP fix for HGSS before they came out using 1.58b2. Now we have 1.58 official and you can now connect to your HGSS games to the Wii. It's one of the only flashcarts that is able to do that. Updating firmware is a breeze, just stick the update file in the root menu and you're done. The Acekard has the AP fix but does not connect to the Wii and since you're asking how to update it, I take it that it's harder to update than the CycloDS.
Acekard, like the majority of cards, stores firmware files on the MicroSD. So you just need to put the firmware files on the card.
I think the newest AKAIO RC lets you connect to the wii, not sure though and its easy to update, you just drag and drop the new files
