The Whole world of video Game changed when the horror genre came up. I remember the first horror game i played 10 years ago I think Everybody Knows it "House Of The Dead".10 years back i did not know what was going on And it as only click the mouse and kill stuff . But with Age comes experience and then after roughly 6 years later i played Resident Evil 4 for the first time and it was like nothing i played ever before. Then scare after scare I got through to Resident evil 6(Dead space too but not completed because too scary). Then to the Scariest Game In the World OUTLAST.Which is still in the back of my cupboard because after playing it for the first time i am not going to be playing it anytime soon...... :D.Which is your first horror game and list all other horror games as well.

Horror games are like that aren't they i mean even hard core gamers think twice before playing horror And Outlast needs Balls Of Adamantium to play it for 1.5 hours max. I quit at about 40 minutes

Even though I know it's just a game, but the idea of getting chased around and ambushed by zombies, and sweeping through empty dark rooms are creepy. I especially hate the 'Nemesis', it chases the player from room to room, and very hard to escape from with such dumb lack of responsive control. That's freaking terrifying. :p

I've friends who are die hard fans of these games. Watching them play makes me envious. They are actually very fun to play, but not for the faint hearted. :-[

Though in real life, I've no problem going around in total darkness alone, doesn't matter where. So it's not because I am afraid of the dark, cause I really am not. What Prof. Dumbledore says, "It's the unknown that we fear when we look upon darkness." is so very true. It's not because most of us are afraid of the dark (or playing such games), but knowing that we have to face the unknown terrifies us the most.

Technically There is no such thing as fear . When the body is deprived of one or more senses it causes doubt and when doubt increases it becomes fear. That is the basic principle in horror games because you don't know what is around the next corner you can never be too sure.Lack of ammo The music or the silence..(You know the age old expression "It's quiet ..... A little too quiet"),and other supplies. limited ammo and other shit adds to fear.Like how anybody moving in a graveyard becomes a ghost or any sound in the bushes in a jungle becomes a predator. We go into fight or flight mode though 88% of the time it is flight..

A Japanese PC game called "Isaku"... which by the way is actually a Hentai game than a horror game per se.

It plays like a horror game because the girls in your party get raped whenever you leave 'em alone for too long :p

Why not make a fully 3D first person pc , xbox 360 ps3 remake they should call it "Isaku - Rebirth of horror porn"

What's to see in 8 bit? Pixels? ::)

It's funny how I had bought several horror games; for PSX, PS2, and even downloaded the NDS's. But never did complete any. Played several levels at most, but that's that. Either I can't stand the creepiness or I ran out of everything, got killed and never choose retry.
I had recently opted to try "The Nameless Game" NDS, added it to the SD Micro, but to date never loaded it. Tried playing 'Theresia', but got stuck not knowing what to do next. I don't like checking game guides, so I let it be, let it be...let...it...be....

Pixelated boobies, nothing more. See back then perverts were simpler, just show 'em a static picture of boobies to beat off to and they'll be happy :) Not to mention the Japanese have this peculiar notion that genitalia are not to be seen, but everything else is fine :p

If you know of the Japanese porn anime "Kisaku" and "Shosaku", you'd be delighted to know that "Isaku" is actually the first part of that trilogy series. The bad guy (serial rapist) in Isaku is related to the main characters of those two hentai anime.

Isaku is more like a thriller and suspense, there are no ghosts or any supernatural being in the game.
It's like "I know what you did" series but the villain is a rapist.
You can't even consider Castlevania a horror game.

I finished Fatal Frame 2 to 4, RE4 and 5 and Silent Hill Origins.
FF is really good, Weeks of playing FF, Idk if I was or dreaming or not but someone actually pulled my leg while lying in my bed.
Didn't beat Oblivion but it was good.
L4D and looking forward for more Walking Dead games.
Hoping for more survivor horror games when I have time.
