I'm trying to run Pokemon White on my flashcart. I've tried with wood 1.15 for clones, but to no avail. (Black screen after prof intro)
I'm trying on YSMenu for clones, and keep getting errorcode=4. Does anybody know why?

Thanks in advance to anybody who helps!

Thank you so much. I will try right now. Quick question: should I use a clean or unpatched ROM?

    Jhon 591 Well-Known Member

Clean, But on R4 clone cards they can be an errcode=-5 issue

Ask hear if you have this issue http://gbatemp.net/f169-dstt-toptoy-ds

YSMenu is mostly for Clean roms only

However R4 original cards have no known issues

I shall bear that in mind. I must wait another 6 minutes for freakshare to refresh, so I can download a clean ROM. Will update soon!

Sould be ok to use a patched rom I'm not sure, It should just patch over the same AP data as used in extinfo.dat

I was reading a thread earlier, and somebody was talking about having to edit the patched rom's ID, as ysmenu won't recognise it or something of the sort. Is this true?

Oh, I should add: on every rom I've got running, I get the notorious black screen after the professor. It happens with both patched and clean roms.
    Will this still happen?

Depens on where in ARM9 the patched data is used, Yes i know it will change the GameID, Mostly this can be added to the infolib.dat <- fixer of errcodes and loading rom time, In extinfo.dat the GameCode IRBO can remain the same and GameID edited to 00000000 to match any patched Roms, Kined of a cheat XD!

So it's just infolib.dat need's the encrypted GameID for the Patched ROM!

So mostly try for a clean ROM

loading bit of data is still required for extinfo.dat to help the game boot with infolib.dat

    I don't have a clue, maybe try ?

    DAMN IT.
I'm STILL getting black screens after prof.

Your code4 fix worked (thank you so much for that), but this black screen has been frustrating me for the past week.
I desperately want to play. :(
Do you have any idea how to fix?

So the game loaded up ?

If i had my DS i would try it now, My two nethus are down later and they bring there DS lites with them, Will try my R4 original with YSMenu later and see is the same issue happens, And see if it can be resolved, some say 4000 offset and some 0000 <- will test and try

Are either a good format of microSD with panasonic SD formatter, Are it could be a cheat code fix like no$gba uses for black screen but thats for start new game

Try this and see if the dats in the package works from the TTMenu folder

Right, I'm currently formatting my SD card to install the firmware that was on the link you posted :/
I hate this card. Haven't got a clue what type it is, so this always happens.

    @propanenight

Lol the R4 clones have always bean a pain, I bined one once was a R4l.i.s

I'm just glad i keep't the original R4!, Sinse the woodr4 and ysmenu it has bean grate!

I do know abit about the updateing dats but not 100%, Anyone who would like to lean about the three dat download my microsoft and text documents hear http://loda.jp/dsm/?id=483 <- but would still like to know who to get 2% of the infolib.dat coding!

So, I installed the firmware from the link. Looks different when I boot it (possibly a good sign), but the clean rom just stays loading when I select it.

Maybe a pick and mix could help, Just the infolib.dat from my upload

are extinfo from mine and infolib.dat from his

PS: Sorry I did not mean the whole firmware to be replaced, Just the three dats from the ttmenu folder only

I am very sorry for taking up so much of your time. I've never been so desperate to play a rom, that's why :)
So, I should put YOUR edited .dats back in?

  16. Jhon 591

    Jhon 591 Well-Known Member

It's no problem!, Like i sed try a mix my infolib.dat his extinfo.dat

However no$gba through no$zoomer play it quite well on your PC, http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=53401.0

Gives a though to get a save file and convert it to 512kb save and use it on your DS to see if it bypasses the back screen issue though loading the save

Will be trying the game later with YSMenu on a real ds!, and let you know how it gose!

Hmmm. I mixed your infolib with his stuff, but game still didn't load.
I mixed more of your stuff, and got a romloading failed message. That was probably just me being stupid.

Could you explain the no$gba trick? That may work.

I use desmume for emulating, and loaded the white patched rom.
I see stuff about save types, and it gives me options of eeprom bits or flash. Which should I use, and what exactly do I do with it to make it work on the flashcard?

    Jhon 591 Well-Known Member

Stay with your original firmware, and latest dats of mine as that worked originaly, kined of

To be easer but might be slighy slower then no$gba, is to play it though DeSmuME emaultor, Once you get to a place where you can save it, look in the battery folder you will see a save with .dsv rename that save to .sav and it onto where the cards keeps it's .sav files

Be sure the game name matches in every way to the save file

(Note) the save will not be there untill you have saved it in game

Leave the save type as is

Right. It's 513kb. Is that normal?

  20. Jhon 591

    Jhon 591 Well-Known Member

512kb yes, but once in game on DS over-ride save if possible to ?, And not that black screen issue
