an NDS emulator such as No$GBA 2.6a Not all games work on it though, and not all games that work are playable.

OK, I have downloaded No$gba 2.6a and 2.5c NINTENDO DS EMULATOR
    from http://www.torrentreactor.net/torrents/1828396/No$gba-2-6a-and-2-5c-NINTENDO-DS-EMULATOR

The only site that I could find version 2.6a.

It is now in my folder with my downloaded NDS games but I still cant open any games on my computer. Could anyone give me a step by step idiot guide on what to do now,

    Cheers

Have you extracted the games from the rar files?

Yes I have. I can copy the games onto an SD card & play the games on a NDS but not play, or even open the games on my PC

How are you going about trying to run them on your PC?

    Double clicking on the rom?

What I do is set the Application to open .nds, ds.gba, sc.nds etc. to no$gba, so when I'm coding a project I can quickly test in no$gba (can't be bothered setting up the tool linkers etc.). Drag the ROM onto no$gba.

I usually just run no$gba and then open the ROM from the program.

    That takes longer.

i just made it so all .nds files open with no$gba so i just have to dubble click the roms to play them

7z is a compressed archive, you need either 7zip or the latest version of winrar to open it.
