    you can't just delete files from the ftp and reupload them. the database would need changing too. More work than its worth, especially considering the numbers are completely meaningless anyway.

    As Jhon said, it's pretty confusing.
    Seph added an XXXX game to the site as a numbered ROM, which resulted in most of the confusion. Later, we added another ROM, but it was nuked and would normally become an XXXX one. But it's annoying to have to delete the old ROM, move the downloads, comments etc. to the "new" ROM (which is the old one, but is now XXXX) and then upload the newly dumped ROM.

    So, I decided to make the forum the "right" numbering (according to DS-Scene/DAT-o-MATIC) and keep it that way.

I need someone with a low quallty uSD/MicroSD chip to try the test fixes as mentiond bove it may freeze at
that part ?, Use the original extinfo.dat and see, if it dose then replace the new extinfo.dat and 
test again, then let us know ? thanks.

Myself has R4 original and good quallty kingston MicroSD / uSD chip and dont freeze anyway.

    hello i have a strange problem.
    first of all i have ds lite dsi dsxl 3ds and 3dsxl. and i have a dstt card. i am using retro's kernel. the system is exactly perfect working on ds lite dsi
    it gives me an error in dsxl just a few times.
    BUT
    in 3ds machine it gives me 3 times trying 10 times 3/10 error (7 times give no error everything perfect)
    in 3ds xl machine it gives error 5/10 error. (5 times give no error everything perfect)

    here is the problem i take a picture because i have not enough english to describe.
    same problem occured the upper menu of the window.

    note: i try in different micro sd. i formatted lots of times
    i try in different dstt cards.
    and i try also different 3ds 3dsxl machines.

    it gives always same problem. here is the picture: [​IMG]

    Hello,

    I'm new here and need a bit of help. I read through several pages on different forums but none of their solutions helped. I tried to apply all of the fixes that other people used but it didn't work with my R4i SDHD card, I have gone through several kernels to try and get it to run. I tried the suggested kernels from the first page but it did not work, and when that failed I tried several others and still failed.

    I am new to all of this and I am trying to get it set up for my brother's Birthday (May 1st). Our mom bought the R4i Renovation SDHC 2.20T card found on R4SDHC.com (red box with the V2.20T name on it).

    I followed the installation instructions, I formatted the Micro SD card, I copied over all the necessary files, I placed the R4i card into my 3DS and it shows up that Top Spin 3 is inserted. I press play. It loads for a couple of seconds and then a black screen appears that tells me that an error occurred and that I need to turn off the system by holding down the power button, which I do to shut down the system. None of the kernels that I tested work so far. What could be the problem? Is it the card or did I do something wrong?

    Also, I recently found out that my brother's system just did an automatic update and now reads version 5.1.0-11u. I didn't know about that until just the other day. :-\
    Could the update be blocking the card? Does anyone else own the R4i Renovation card and have you gotten it to work? If so, how? And more importantly does it still work with version 5.1.0-11u.
    There aren't many people talking about this "Renovation" card, so I'm not sure what to do. A lot of google searches just send you to the page to buy them...

    EDIT: I should also mention I already tried the kernels listed on the R4SDHC.com website, they did not work either.

    EDIT 2: If it the card is the problem I can still get a refund and return it. If I did, which R4 card would you recommend?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated. :3

    First of all, have you read the 'compatibility list' in page 1 of this topic? Seen your cart's name amongst the list? If it isn't mentioned, likely hood is it isn't supported. Oh....don't bother trying another secondary firmware named "WOOD R4" (your cart is 100% not supported by it).

    Secondly, have you read the top portion of that "r4sdhc.com" main webpage? Your cart is stated there as 'V2.20T has broken NDSI V1.4.4 and 3DS V4.3.0-10 successfully!'. Short to say, it doesn't even have support ability for 3DS firmware above v.4.3.0-10. So having your 3DS console upgraded to 'v.5.1.1-11', literally speaks for itself. If you bought it online, don't expect any refund, as the issue isn't due to defective flash cartridge. All the carts from r4sdhc.com are out of date and no support for any 3DS firmware above v.4.5.0-10. If you bought it from a local shop, then better exchange it/buy a new cart with up to date support; e.g. R4i Gold 3DS from R4ids.cn or a Supercard DSTWO. Just make sure the new cart been updated to the latest firmware by the store.

    Thanks! That is all helpful info.
    I believe my brother's 3DS was version 2.1 something, he had never updated it from when he first bought it. The update to the newest version just happened a couple of days ago when he went online and I found out about it when I went to go test the card. :-\

    R4i Gold for 3DS it is. I do have a question though, local shops sell these flash cartridges? If so, where would I look?
    I've only seen them online.

    I've found a site that has the R4i gold card that says that it supports 3DS V5.1.0-11 and made by R4ids.cn, which is the current version of my brother's 3DS. Hopefully it will work without any problems.

    Now all I need to do is grab his 3DS and see if I can turn off the updates...
