The ESA is not happy with the amount of games we have blocked and claim we are still infringing on multiple titles. This means we have to do a more thorough search of the content available for download to remove infringing material.

You can help us solve this situation faster by looking for games developed or published by one of The ESA members. which are still available for download on RomUlation. You can determine whether or not a game is still available by the colour of the download button, if it is red it is blocked, if it is yellow it isn't. Please report the yellow games to us.

If you wish to help we suggest picking a company on the list and researching their game titles, use the search function to find games on RomUlation and check if they are downloadable.

    We appreciate your help.

They won't stop until we're almost disbanded will they?
Even the smaller developers who got absorbed, or sold their stock to the bigger guys count under this, do they not?
So that means only the Roms under the public use act will be accessible.
    Abandonware essentially.
It's still better than being shutdown.

    Edit-
If you want to help just browse through some of the titles, I'm working on PSX, choose a format and see if you can't find anything reportable.

That is true! But what is the point of blocking NES and SNES roms? What money does Nintendo still gets form it?
And they need to tell which roms and such are bad AND WHY!
It is a sad moment for the RomU history (again) and I don't like the tought of a shut down!
And also, how many % of the games will still be om the RomU servers?

Percentage wise, I don't know that answer. But the IP of the companies is their IP. We just make sure there are no 'rogue' titles that are still up, and see what demand they make of the site next.

I doubt after running this site for as long as Seph has, he's gonna up and shut it right now.
Only report a yellow download tab if it's an associated ESA game. Look for the big ones first and let's get them locked up.

I will go through the N64 games tomorrow when I have enough time.

I also would like to check the GameCube games.

This might seem obvious but couldn't ESA provide you with a list? They have obviously been through the site and know whats still up.
Im sure if you asked them for a list of everything they wanted removing they would supply it.

this freaking sucks I mean I come to this site all the time, like for resident evil or just some random game that I haven't played. Now they want to banned the publishing of old games even more, that ridiculous, I mean by having these games available they gain more publicity, ofthe old timing gaming ways like, crash bandicoot, it a good game and yet there are some out there who've never played it and by having it up on the site, it gives those people chance to actually play it without having to buy it because you will never find games like these anymore, well maybe on ebay but its still a slim chance

This was one of my favorite sites because of PSX and GBA downloads. It was good while it lasted. Too bad you can't have one great site for PSX, GBA and NDS downloads :(

I sent ESA an email about all this - http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/2344/dearesa.png

Sure was dumb. Best hope the guy who gets that isn't in a bad mood.
You do know they can easily find you right?
Could that be used as evidence in court?

probably not in itself but it could be used to get a warrant to confiscate their computer.
